Jaipur School of Law has celebrated Constitution Day on the theme “India – the mother of Democracy” under the aegis of Dr. Ambedkar Chair’s on November 26, 2022. The main purpose of the celebration was to spread awareness amongst youth about the three pillars of the constitution i.e., Liberty, Equality and Fraternity.
Dr. Mahendra Tiwari, Dean & Head, JSL had motivated the students for successfully organizing this event on 26 November and to circulate the message for the public at large on social media platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. On motivation, students had circulated the message about organizing the event and also shared the screen shorts.
Dr. Mani Kumar Meena addressed the students of the school and law students by explaining the journey of framing the Indian constitution from its history to present day and its vital role in bringing together ‘an idea called India’.
A session was conducted by the faculties of Jaipur School of Law, Assistant Prof. Mr. Swet Raj Pareek and Assistant Prof. Mrs. Apoorva Khandelwal had explained in detail the meaning of the Constitution, the Preamble, the Five-Year Plan and the Directive Principles to all the students present there in the event.
The students of the Jaipur School of Law were engaged in various activities like role play, speech of famous Indian leaders, Duties towards Environment, Fundamental Duties and Rights which helped to build our Indian Constitution and a virtual quiz on the Indian constitution to highlight and reiterate the values and principles enshrined in the Constitution.
Associate Prof. Dr. Mahendra Kr. Jangir encouraged the students to abide by the Constitution. Quoting Dr. Ambedkar, “We are Indians, firstly and lastly”. He motivated the students to reaffirm their commitment to uphold the ideology laid down in the Indian Constitution. The day ended with students participating in a writing activity where they had to pen down their thoughts on the constitutional values and the principles of the Indian Constitution.
At the end of the event Faculty of Jaipur School of Law along with the entire school reaffirmed its commitment to the Indian Constitution by taking the pledge for abiding and protecting the Indian Constitution. During the celebration, a Linkage with Jaipur International Public Secondary School is also seal & signed with his authorized signatory Mr. Rajiv Pareek.
More than 150 students of the school and Jaipur School of Law along with their faculty members have actively participated in the celebration of Constitution Day.
