Course Details
The B. Sc. B. Ed. & B.A. B. Ed. programmers shall be of four academic years or eight semesters including school based experience and internship. Teaching student, Teacher shall however be permitted to complete the programme within a maximum period of six years from the date of admission to the programme.
Working days:
- There shall be at least two hundred and fifty working days per year exclusive of the period of examination and admission.
- A working day will be of a minimum of 5-6 hours adding up to a minimum of 36 Hours per week. The Institute shall ensure the availability of Teacher and student for consultation and mentoring providing group or individual guidance.
- The minimum attendance of student teacher shall have to be 80% for all course work and practical and 90% for school internship.
Eligibility:
- Candidate with at least 50% marks in the senior secondary/10+2 or its equivalent are eligible for admission.
- The reservation and relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other category shall be as per the rules of the Central Government / State Government whichever is applicable.
Admission Procedure:
Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other selection process as per the policy of state government / and the University.
Career Prospects & Job Opportunities:
The graduates become eligible for teaching in upper primary and secondary school.
They can also work as content developers with various educational organization and publishing houses. The programme makes them capable of working as academic coordinators and supervisors. Beside this, with a strong and extensive, professional training these graduates can open, establish and manage their own school.
