Seminar on “Awareness regarding Cyber Security among Women”

Jaipur Nursing College, Maharaj Vinayak Global University organized a Seminar on the topic “Awareness regarding Cyber Security among Women” on dated 18/09/2019 at 1:00 PM onwards.
Cyber security awareness promotes foundational understanding on Cyber threats and risks, being cyber security aware means you know and understand what the threats are and you take the right steps to prevent them.
In this seminar Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Yadav, Principal & Dean, Jaipur Nursing College (MVGU) highlighted the importance of being aware because number of cyber crimes are rising against women. Illegal persons try to defame women by sending obscene emails, stalking women by using chat rooms and spoofing messages, so there is a massive awareness needs to be created among women regarding safe use of mobile, phones, computers and internet and he also stated the laws available for women in case she drastically victimized in cyberspace.
The Seminar was further headed by Mrs. Rimmy Raju M., Assistant Professor, Jaipur Nursing College, Maharaj Vinayak Global University, Jaipur. She discussed what is cyber crime and what are the motives behind them. She discussed about the commonest cyber crime against women like Cyber Stalking, bullying, Dos. Etc.
She also put a focus on how a woman can save herself against cyber crime like how she has to set the password, keep privacy on while sharing information on social media and also about the laws available against cyber crime.
Programme organizer Dr. Vidhi Sharma, Associate Professor, Jaipur Nursing College delivered vote of thanks to Prof. (Dr.) Yogesh Yadav, Principal & Dean, Mrs. Rimmy Raju who was Resource Person and all the female delegates who have participated in this awareness seminar.
