The infrastructure facilities at the JSHM provide a good environment for effective learning and overall development of its students. The JSHM offers well equipped classroom, research labs, Campus Security, Auditorium, Wi-Fi, Accommodation for students, Dining, Sports Facilities, Centralized, Departmental Library & Transportation etc.
Following are the highlights of the infrastructure:
The College has one of the most advanced computer departments. The department has more than 30 desktops and servers.
Spacious and well ventilated class rooms with basic infrastructure like Green Boards, and cupboards. They are also equipped with ICT resources like White boards/ Screens, LCD Projectors, Microphones, Public Address System to create an effective high performance & learning environment.
A Seminar Hall with seating capacity of 150 students.
Well-equipped rooms evolved to take on a modern look with state –of –art technology with motorized drop down screens & projectors.
A fleet of 10 buses provides transportation facility to the students and staff members.
The Central Library is well stacked and fully computerized. It has a good collection of reference & text books with subscription to national and international magazines and journals of repute. The Library offers a range of other services, including reference and consultation, membership and circulation, photocopying, resource-sharing, information-alert service, user-awareness programs and access to the world’s online library of books i.e. Questa. There is a book bank service for the students.
Three centrally air-cooled / separate hostels both for girls & boys provide good quality vegetarian food, hygienic living conditions and a disciplined environment.
The Physical Education Department provides games and sports facilities with specialization in Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis and Swimming
On-campus Cafeteria dishes out mini meals, snacks, fresh juices, etc. catering to varied tastes. The campus also houses a bakery cum confectionary outlet
Major aspect of the Hotel industry is food, which is the true reflection of hospitality. Food Production lab is well equipped & designed to put in good and advanced training to students making them excellent food makers of the industry.
Restaurants are the key to hotel industry. A good restaurant attracts its major clients only if the sitting arrangement is magnificently premeditated. A 48 cover restaurant is equipped particularly to impart the practical knowledge of Restaurant Service & Bar Operation which is a must for any person receiving technical knowledge of the industry.
One of the major areas in the hotel is the accommodation operation, as it is basically the lodging and housing that one looks far away from home. It contains training in guest rooms. In depth study of Interior Decoration of the guest room is also a part of Accommodation Operation.
